A Promise Kept

The LGBTQ movement is celebrating gay pride month. Isn’t it unusual their banner is a rainbow flag?

Genesis 9:13-15 KJV
I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. [14] And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: [15] And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

There are 3 possibilities as to why the LGBTQ community would honor the rainbow.

1. An attempt to mock God. That is to say – you promised you won’t kill us by flood, we’ll do whatever we want.

2. Ignorance. The LGBTQ community is unaware the rainbow represents a promise of God, a promise never to destroy the world by flood again.

3. It represents Hope. Hope in God’s promises. Hope they are not forsaken. Hope they are not forgotten. Perhaps even, hope, that they may repent and return to God.

My hope is number 3. Did you know it is said, Abraham hoped against hope.

If you believe that Jesus is Christ, and are ready to forsake and be forgiven of your sin, seek out and be baptized by another by immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

His promise is: Mark 16:16 KJV
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Law and Love Combining

There are those that preach Grace and there are those that preach the Law, but there are few that grasp the Truth as well as Owens and Lorenz in the hymn Give Me the Bible.

Precept and Promise, Law and Love Combining!

2 Timothy 2:19 KJV
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

How can we depart from iniquity without knowledge of the law.

Give me the Bible, Holy message shining; Thy light shall guide me in the narrow way; Precept and promise, law and love combining, Till night shall vanish in eternal day.
