K.I.S.S.

KISS is an acronym used by certain scientists and researchers as a basic philosophy or rule, Keep It Simple Stupid. It means the simplest explanation is most often the correct one.

So what is the simple crux or core of Christianity. Believe and Behave. Believe in Jesus as Christ and Do Not Continue in Sin. To do this you must know Jesus, who he is and what he did. And you must know his law. Keep the Two Great Commandments: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, spirit, and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. A good way to do this is to keep the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20. There are other laws which you can find in the Old and New Testament. If they are good they probably should be kept. Discernment between the Old and New Testament tells us we no longer need to follow the dietary laws after Peter’s dream and that thanks to Jesus there is no longer any need for animal sacrifice for sins.

2 John 1:9 KJV Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If you continue in sin, God has no part with you. On Judgment Day you will likely hear Jesus say. . . I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. Luke 13:27 KJV

Without Condition

Why do people seek unconditional love? Why do they look for it from others and even expect it from God? Is the answer as simple as what can I get away with in this relationship?

I want love with honesty and trust. I want friends and family that care about me. If they love me, they care what I do. They care how I treat them and others.

Love without condition is either pure desperation or lust without any real emotional connection. It’s not something to hope for or desire.

God places conditions on his love, if you hope to be with him forever. The first condition is John 3:16 – believe. The second condition is John 14:15 – behave.

Believe and Behave

I recently came across this post on X:

“If the person who offers you Salvation is the same person who threatens you with punishment and “eternal damnation” that is not Salvation.

That’s extortion!”

I thought about it. I couldn’t come up with a strong argument against it. However, the response that did come to mind was – is it wrong for one person or entity to wield both the carrot and the stick. I think the answer to that is, it depends. It depends on the purpose?

So what is God purpose? What does God expect from men? 

To believe and behave.

That’s a simple and straightforward purpose. Believe in love and act in love. It will make both you and the world a better place. Both God and his purposes are good.
