He Gets Us, But Do They

Love is Unconditional and Impartial.

Is this statement true? I don’t believe it is.

Read John 3:16. Do you see the condition? Whosoever believeth.

Is God really impartial? No he isn’t. Read the bible, he is partial to Jesus, he is partial to the Jews, he is partial to his Church.

I don’t believe love is unconditional or impartial in our own relationships either. Monogamy is key to marriage. Correction is key to child rearing. There are reasonable conditions to love and in love we prefer one over the other.

Sympathy For The Devil

I am sick of people on religious programs saying God’s love is unconditional. I honestly don’t believe these people know or understand love.

Yet, I must admit I’m finally convinced. God’s love is unconditional. Really? – No. Although perhaps I have been too harsh in my judgment. He does ask us to even love our enemies.

Here’s your choice though and it’s a big one: You can be loved by God in the same way He loves Satan or you can be loved by God as he loves Jesus.

I think if you study the Holy Bible you’ll find the only difference between the two is how they dealt with God’s conditions.

Conditions Too

Some claim the love of God is unconditional. They do not know God nor the scriptures.

In an earlier post we discovered the first condition of Christianity in John 3:16. It is belief.

What are some other conditions? Mark 16:16 tells us that in addition to belief in Christ we must be baptized to be saved!

Let’s look at some other verses to see if we can spot the condition:

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 KJV Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing ; and I will receive you, [18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

If we want to be a son or daughter of God Almighty, what must we do? The condition is clear. Be separate and touch not the unclean thing.

John 14:21 KJV He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

If we want the Father and son’s love we keep his commandments.

Learning to spot conditions in scripture will help teach you proper discernment and help you in rightly dividing the Word of God.
